Brief: To research and write reports on interactive media subjects
BigStream was commissioned by Skillset and the The Knowledge Exploitation Fund to research and write reports on Design Fundamentals in New Media; Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation in New Media; and Management and Business Understanding in New Media.
This work required BigStream to draw upon a range of expertise including using our contacts within the industry to generate interviews with major new media practitioners from organisations including NESTA, Endemol, Friends Reunited and the BBC.
We followed up this work with a range of other consultancy contracts including:
- Producing a blueprint for a new interactive media preparatory qualification for 16-19 year-olds
- Project-managing industry course outlines for the provision of continual professional development and training in the interactive media sector.
- Contributing to the development of revised National Occupational Standards in Interactive Media
- Assessing the interactive media capability of applicants for Skillset Media Academy status as part of a team of industry experts led by Greg Dyke.
